Originally from Northern Syria, but also used frequently in Turkish cuisine. This rare chilli is named after the city of Aleppo which is on the famous Silk Road. The Silk Road was used to trade spices from as early as 200 B.C. Growing up to 1.2m tall, this plant produces a good amount of fruit and may require some support once pods start to appear. The Aleppo has a sweet taste with a slight kick of heat. It makes a really good chilli powder.
Germination is generally 1-4 weeks with flowering taking 3-4 months.
